Our Client

OLPRO is a provider of awnings and camping equipment through their ecommerce website as well as partner suppliers. They provide awnings of all shapes and sizes through their website.

Increasing sales from their website was OLPRO’s top priority, all while being in a highly competitive market with many companies offering similar products. Global Search Marketing was approached by OLPRO with the task of a national SEO campaign to increase sales from the website.

The Challenge

Global Search Marketing identified a number of issues relating to a new site launch, previously before the SEO work had started on the website. Technical SEO would need to be carried out on the issues identified to rectify them. A drop in traffic to the website was the main symptom of these technical issues, therefore also decreasing sales from the website.

The client expressed they would like to target campervan awnings and related keywords to begin with as this is their main product line. This is a highly competitive area and a challenge which Global Search Marketing were willing to take on. After consulting with the client, a strategy was formed and an implementation was agreed before commencing work.


Our Strategy

The SEO strategy consisted primarily of onsite work and content creation, off site link building was managed by OLPRO’s external PR company. Initially the content from the previous website was rewritten and then transferred to the new website. This was required, as the biggest problem identified was the lack of content on the new site. Our team implemented a content plan over the first few months with the agreement of OLPRO, this supported the other SEO work and targeted the different models of van awnings.

This proved to be a success, with traffic recovering and then surpassing previous levels to the point where we are today. Revenue from organic search traffic increased in this time as well as conversion rate. Site architecture and navigation was completely overhauled, with a more logical approach implemented onto the website. This also played a part in the improved results of the website.


The Results

OLPRO received results from their SEO after a few months of work by the team. They benefited from an uplift in sales from the website and increased visibility of their brand throughout Google Search.

Results are still increasing as new products are added to the website and more keywords are targeted.
